Birthday Adventure

Well, today was the day of the annual Birthday outing with the Randalls. We went to Causey Dam and canoed. We had a Blast. The water was really low, so we had to carry the canoes down to the water quite a ways and back again, but totally worth it. We explored most of the arms as far as they would go, and saw plenty of wildlife. We saw some pretty cool fish. They were pink with gray heads, Brock the animal expert, said they were colear (or something) Salmon. They were awesome. They were not easily scared, in fact Keith even scooped one up with our oar, and threw it back in. He was so amazed that they weren't frightened that he even knocked one on the head. The poor fish is probably unconscious now, and doesn't know what hit him. Brock, Jodie and I felt bad for the poor fish and mourned for him. Keith still claims, "I barely touched him!" We know how rough he can be though-the fish killer! We also saw a cow moose. We ate lunch right across from her. As we were sitting there, the moose started calling, we then watched as a huge bull moose came out of the bushes and joined her. We had a good time interpreting what they were saying to each other. We got pictures which I will post, but they were hard to get. Then as we were headed back, we saw a Bald Eagle. We were completely facinated as it sat atop a log all noble like. We got excited as it pulled up it's tail feathers, like it was going to take off in flight, instead it projectile pooped all over. We were just thankful we were far enough away not to enjoy it up-close and personal. Keith finally threw a rock near it just to scare it enough so we could get it in flight. It was awesome! No Keith wasn't trying to kill it or maim it like he did the fish. He has great reverence for eagles! Anyway, we had a great time, always do! Another wonderful birthday! Seeing Wildlife, being in the great outdoors, being with great, fun friends and family. Loved it!!
