Well the boys and Keith went up to Hoop Lake in the Uintah Mountains for scout camp. They had a great time! They did a lot of fun things. They swam in the frigid cold lake. Keith says they waded more than swam cuz it was so cold. They received their shotgun and rifle merit badges, orienteering, environmental science and worked on advancements. They went on a couple hikes and played cards, and had marshmellow fights, started by Keith! They ate deer and elk roasts, hotdogs and all sorts of other manly food. Keith and Adam saw a waterfall and a beaver dam while on the hike, everyone else was too worried about getting down to camp to slow down and enjoy the sights. When asked by Keith what the favorite part of scout camp was it was said playing cards and having a marshmellow fight. All the way to the Uintah Mountains for camp and the best part were things that could've easily been done in the backyard. Funny stuff! As for pictures-Bryson above trying to stay in and enjoy the water, rather than run out screaming like a girl! Adam trying not to blow his arm off with the kick back of the rifle. Bryson, Cody, Bryce, Nick, Stuart attempting to break this tree for firewood because they didn't want to cut it. Guess what it didn't work and they had Adam cut instead, while Bryson held it in place. As always Bryson working hard. Adam, Bryson, Stuart, Nick, Bryce, and Cody sitting by the water having a break from the day. Overall it sounded as though it was a fun time. They came home smelly and dirty but with smiles on their faces and dirty mustaches!

Watching your boys go through the whole scouting thing makes me more excited that I have a boy. That way I can send Dave and Ryker to do the manly things and I can go do girly things.
